About Us
We are a family of 3 generations ; Mother, Daughter and Grandmother who are all passionate about the British Shorthair Breed.
We first encountered this beautiful breed in 2005 with our first little boy Tom, it was love at first sight! Starting to breed BSH wasn’t a decision we took lightly – in fact we debated for 3 years, as to the ethics, feasibility and viability. It was whilst looking for another kitten in 2013 that I realised how unregulated and inconsistent the process was of finding a registered and good example of the breed was.
I was amazed how many breeders bred non-registered cats and non active cats. This demonstrates a clear lack of care and reduces the protection for such a beautiful breed. We also noticed the lack of availability of certain colours in particular the colourpoint and silver tipped within the north west, resulting in people travelling long journeys, which can be avoided were possible and general standards of some breeders although the minority.
